About
Hi, I’m Dillon Heaton,
left-handed pitcher, outfielder, and the guy behind Dillon’s Dugout.
I’ve loved baseball for as long as I can remember. There’s just something about the strategy, the grind, the teamwork, and the one on one moments that shape who you are as both an athlete and a person. Over the years, this sport has taught me discipline, leadership, and how to keep showing up, especially when it’s hard. And now, I get to pass that on to the next generation of players.
I currently play varsity baseball at Clinton Central High School, where I’ve had the opportunity to grow as both a two-way player and a teammate. One of my proudest moments was throwing a complete-game shutout with 19 strikeouts, a game I’ll never forget. I finished that season leading the Hoosier Heartland Conference in strikeouts and ranked among the top pitchers in the state. Outside of school ball, I’ve also played club baseball with the Indiana Mustangs, facing high-level competition and constantly working to refine my game.
But honestly? As much as I love playing, I’ve found something even more meaningful in coaching.
There’s nothing like helping a player finally figure out their swing or gain confidence on the mound. Whether it’s a 30-minute tune-up or a long-term training plan, I believe every session should leave you better, not just as a player, but as a teammate and leader too. My coaching style is focused, encouraging, and tailored to each athlete. I use tools like radar tracking, video breakdowns, and strength programming to help players see progress and take pride in their work.
I started Dillon’s Dugout because I wanted to create a space where players feel seen, challenged, and supported. Whether you’re chasing varsity, trying out for your first team, or just want to get better at the game you love, I’m here to help you get there.
